Now, I’ve traveled and lived abroad a few times in my life, and supported over 500 people figuring out how to do this, too. Did you know one of the best ways to feel at home is to know where to go for pretty much anything? Seriously, check out the post about it.
Last year was the first time I went to Mexico, and honestly I’d love to go back. Did you know there are almost 800,000 American expats (foreigners living in another country) living in Mexico? Here’s the statistic.
Here is an amazing list to help you find the best places to find all your beauty supplies while you’re travelling or moving to Mexico. Thank you to Rachel, my favorite Mexican adventurer for all these incredible recommendations. Make sure you connect with her on Instagram!
Sanborns
Will have the full range of makeup including brands like Revlon, Almay, Rimmel, and NYC products if there is not a Walmart. Sanborns is a midrange department store (think of a tiny Macy’s if you’ve been in the US) they will have major fragrances, too. This is the Sanborns in Aguascalientes – Aguascalientes is part of the lower level of the Hotel Paris.
Walmart
Walmart will have most of the basic drugstore brands (think brands like Rimmel, Maybelline, L’Oreal, Revlon, etc.) and it is your best pick for nail polish and nail supplies as well. Also a good place for drugstore beauty or skincare in general.
Mega
Mega, sometimes called Comercial Mexicana, is one place you’ll notice when you’re looking through your favorite search engine. These are more common than Walmart in some states in Mexico, yet their drugstore brand selection won’t be as extensive.
